When clients ask AI for a lawyer, are you named?
We ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google the questions your clients ask, count which firms they name, and help you become one of them.

-

- Who AI names in your town, and how often
- Where you stand, question by question
- The sites the answers trust
- Answers word for word, with their links
Staying named
AI answers change week to week. On the monthly plan, we keep watch, keep fixing, and show you what it brings in.
- Watch
- Weekly checks in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google, and an email if you drop out, a rival overtakes you, or AI gets your details wrong.
- Fix
- Every new Google review answered, new pages for the questions you’re missing, and your profiles kept right.
- Prove
- Your count every month, what AI tells clients about you, and how many new clients found you through AI.
Why weekly: in a 2026 study of nearly 350,000 locations, ChatGPT and Perplexity had business details right only about two times in three (SOCi). And when someone suggests an edit to your Google profile, you have four days to reject it before Google may publish it (Search Engine Roundtable).
Example month
Ferraby Law
- Week 1 Named in 4 of 10 answers
- Week 2 ChatGPT gave your old phone number Listing fixed
- Week 3 Someone suggested new hours on Google Rejected
- Week 4 6 new reviews All answered

Questions
Isn’t this just SEO?
Partly. Google says its AI answers rely on the same things as ordinary search. The difference is what we measure: whether people asking AI hear your name.
Why does the answer change when I ask?
AI tools rarely give the same list twice, so we ask every question several times and count how often you’re named.
Is it the same as the ChatGPT app?
Close, not identical. We ask through OpenAI’s and Perplexity’s own developer tools, with your town set as the location. Google’s AI answers are checked with Otterly, a tracking tool.
How long do changes take?
Usually two to four months, as AI tools re-read the web and reviews build up.
Why monthly?
Because what AI answers draw on keeps changing: rivals collect reviews, AI tools update, and anyone can suggest edits to your Google profile. Most people look for reviews from the last three months (BrightLocal, 2026), so a one-off push fades. We check every week and tell you if something slips.
Do you need our clients’ details?
No. You send review requests from your own systems, so we never see who your clients are. The only figure we ask for is how many new clients said they found you through AI.
What about bar advertising rules?
We work within them. Everything we write is accurate and approved by you, review requests go only to real clients, reviews are never incentivized or filtered, and replies never reveal anything about a client, in line with ABA Formal Opinion 496. Some states, such as Florida and Texas, also require ads to be filed, and we’ll flag anything that might need it. This is how we work, not legal advice.
Can you get us into Super Lawyers or Best Lawyers?
No one honest can promise that: rankings and awards are decided independently. We work on what you control: your profiles, your reviews, and pages that answer the questions clients ask.
Who runs Being Named?
Being Named is a trading name of Connor Neary, based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and works with businesses in the US and the UK. Business details are on our terms page.
