When patients ask AI for a dentist, are you named?

We ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google’s AI the questions your patients ask, count which practices they name, and help you become one of them.

Customers have started asking AI

37%of UK consumers used AI for local search in the past month

45%of US consumers asked AI to recommend a local business last year, up from 6%

<1%chance of the same list twice, so we ask every question several times

Sources: Yext, 2026 (600 UK consumers); BrightLocal, 2026 (1,002 US adults); SparkToro, 2026 (about 3,000 runs in ChatGPT, Claude and Google’s AI).

How it works

  1. Ask

Five questions your patients ask, three times in each AI tool.

  2. Count

Who’s named, how often, and where you stand.

  3. Fix

We work on what the answers draw on, and keep checking every week.

Staying named

AI answers change week to week. After the first month’s fixes, we keep watch, keep fixing, and show you what it brings in.

Watch
Weekly checks in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google’s AI answers, and an email if you drop out, a rival overtakes you, or AI gets your details wrong.
Fix
A new place AI reads every month, new pages for the questions you’re missing, every Google review answered, and your profile kept fresh.
Prove
Your count across all your questions every month, what AI tells patients about you, and how many new patients found you through AI.

Why weekly: in a 2026 study of nearly 350,000 locations, ChatGPT and Perplexity had business details right only about two times in three (SOCi). And when someone suggests an edit to your Google profile, you have four days to reject it before Google may publish it (Search Engine Roundtable).

Example month

Ferraby Dental

  1. Week 1 Named in 4 of 15 answers
  2. Week 2 ChatGPT gave your old phone number Listing fixed
  3. Week 3 Someone suggested new hours on Google Rejected
  4. Week 4 6 new reviews All answered

Questions

Do you check Google’s AI answers too?

Yes, in every snapshot, audit and monthly check. We ask Google AI (in its AI Mode) the same questions as ChatGPT and Perplexity. We also search each question on ordinary Google, where many searches now open with an AI Overview: an answer written by Google’s AI, above the usual results. You see whether one showed, who it named, and the first three on the map.

Google doesn’t offer a way to collect its AI answers, so we use DataForSEO, a search-data service that runs the search from your town and returns what Google showed.

The fixes cover Google too: its AI answers draw on the same things as its ordinary results, such as your Google profile, your website and your reviews.

We already have an SEO company. Isn’t this just SEO?

It works alongside them. SEO is mostly about where you appear in Google’s list of links. We work on what AI answers say about you and whether they name you, and we count it every month. Google says its AI answers rely on the same foundations as ordinary search, so good SEO helps; it just isn’t measured this way.

Why does the answer change when I ask?

AI tools rarely give the same list twice, so we ask every question several times and count how often you’re named.

Is it the same as the ChatGPT app?

Close, not identical. We ask through OpenAI’s and Perplexity’s own developer tools, and Google’s through DataForSEO, with your town set as the location.

How long do changes take?

Usually two to four months, as AI tools re-read the web and reviews build up. That’s why the plan starts with three months, and why we ask your questions again every month: so you can see whether it’s working.

Why monthly?

The first month is the big push: the audit, then 30 days of fixes. After that, what AI answers draw on keeps changing: rivals collect reviews, AI tools update, and anyone can suggest edits to your Google profile. Most people look for reviews from the last three months (BrightLocal, 2026), so a one-off push fades. We check every week, keep adding to what AI reads, and tell you if something slips.

Can I cancel?

Yes. The plan starts with three monthly payments, because changes usually take two to four months to show. After that it’s month to month: email us and it stops at the end of the month you’ve paid for. There’s no setup fee, and the pages, listings and review cards we make for you stay yours. The details are in our terms.

Do you need our patients’ details?

No. You send review requests from your own systems, so we never see who your patients are. The only figure we ask for is how many new patients said they found you through AI.

What about the GDC’s rules?

We write within the General Dental Council’s guidance on advertising and the ASA’s rules, and you approve everything before it’s published. We never write, buy or filter reviews.

Who runs Being Named?

Being Named is a trading name of Connor Neary, based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and works with businesses in the US and the UK. Business details are on our terms page.
